Canyonlands Campground
Canyonlands National Park, located in southern Utah, offers beautiful scenic views as well as many activities to do. For those who want to camp out here, there are two locations, Squaw Flat campgrounds and Willow Flat campgrounds, both which are on a first-come first-served basis. Here, campers will be able to use things like tables and grills to cook their meals. Restrooms are also available. Visitors will be able to enjoy the outdoors and spend the night outside without giving up the basics.
These campsites can accommodate most vehicles and RVs. Generally the rule is about 25 feet and smaller. Be sure to check online to see what the current rates are for spending a night here, as well as any other current rules and restrictions. For those who want to take it to the next level, there are backcountry camping options as well. Be aware though there is a backcountry permit requirement and at a fee. There are many rules to backcountry camping so be sure to do proper research on that. It is important that reservations are made at least two weeks before a trip, so plan early.
Staying at the campgrounds will allow you to experience the wild outdoors at Canyonlands National Park first-hand, from sunrise to sunset. At night, you will be able to go star gazing without the big city lights. In the daytime you can go about with activities such as hiking or mountain biking. Afterwards you can return back to your campsite to cook a meal on the grills provided to you.
